We've recently completed a full refurbishment of stable blocks for a valued client in Essex. This project included repairing structural brickwork, replacing worn-out roofs and linings, refreshing interiors, and improving weatherproofing - all in a cost-effective manner that retained existing foundations.

Stable Block Renovation with New Turf and Guttering
Restored Brickwork & New Roof
Solid Foundations, Refreshed Shell
First, we stripped out the entire structure, then replaced broken and misaligned bricks in the foundation walls. We followed that with a full removal and replacement of the roof and roof timbers to ensure future durability and stability.
  • Repaired and aligned brickwork bases
  • Replaced aged, weakened roof timbers
  • Installed brand‑new, weatherproof roof
  • Secured structures for years of service
  • A practical, cost-efficient update
Interiors Refreshed & Weatherproofing Enhanced
Ready for Action - Dry & Protected
We replaced fully deteriorated sterlingboard lining with durable weatherproof ply, repainted the entire structure, rehung doors using durable ironmongery, and added a bitumen seal around the brick walls, along with new guttering. This ensures a dry, fresh-styled stable that will last for years ahead.
  • New weatherproof plywood lining throughout
  • Stable repainting and doors rehung
  • Improved guttering and sealing applied
  • Enhanced interior function and aesthetics
  • Built to stand the test of time
Interior & External Details of Refurbished Stable

By focusing on refurbishment rather than full replacement, this project cost approximately half of what a new stable block would have required when using the same base structure - delivering exceptional value without compromising quality.
