Pond Netting

We recently designed and installed this netting system across half a pond.

The client has a wonderful collection of rare ducks that are inundated by wild ducks competing for nesting space & feed, and wanted to net off half the pond for his rare breed ducks and leave the remainder for the wild ones.

We designed a set of posts standing over 3.5m high and strutted underground, connected by a network of stainless steel stranded wire.

This was covered with a 900m2 50mm bird net and clipped to a bottom run of 50mm powder coated weldmesh.

The net across the pond was weighted to the bottom and supported with two adjustable T supports.

Access is via a 2.4m high x 1.2m wide mesh panel gate, powder coated black to match.

The whole enclosure is now secured, as discreet as it can be and providing a safe environment for both the wild and rare breed ducks to share.
